OUR BEGINNINGS

In 1956 a young construction worker named Darrell Lanz agreed to make a cabinet for his boss in Des Moines, Iowa. That handcrafted piece launched Darrell's reputation as a cabinetmaker.

Over four decades later, one of Darrell and Mary's sons, Brent, is now president of the business. Lanz Cabinets, still based in Eugene, sells custom and modular cabinets throughout the western United States as well as Japan, Russia and Mexico.

The company also has several installation centers in key locations.

Lanz Cabinets employs a team of more than 150 workers in a 40,000 square-foot high-tech production facility, with an adjacent showroom.

OUR CABINETS

At Lanz Cabinets we design and build cabinets for kitchen and bath, libraries, pantries, home media centers and more.

We're just as accustomed to creating elegant custom kitchens for luxurious estates as we are to producing economical modular kitchenettes for studio apartments. Our proximity to Oregon's timberlands allows us to offer competitive pricing.

Lanz cabinets, made from top-grade oak, maple, alder, cherry, hickory and pine, have 100 percent solid wood face frames and are available in a multitude of finishes.

We feature a number of creative storage options, including tilt trays, roll-out shelves, appliance garages, wine racks, bread boards, recycling bins and much more.

All cabinets are offered with a wide selection of durable European hardware, hinges, drawer guides and accessories.

PRODUCTION FACILITY

Virtually every process of cabinet production is now highly automated, assuring greater precision and cost-effectiveness. Lanz Cabinets continually reinvests in state-of-the-art equipment not only to maintain our exacting standards, but also to reduce pollution and waste of our precious natural resources.

When Europeans began to deplete their forests a half century ago, they designed wood working machinery that made efficient use of scarce resources. Most of the production equipment at Lanz Cabinets is European.

Our computerized UV finish machine, manufactured in Italy, uses less than half the solvents required by conventional equipment. Ultraviolet light cures the finish, rather than letting the chemicals evaporate into the atmosphere and our work environment. The UV finish machine also reduces toxic waste by recycling the overspray.
